“ Brand: Totes / Type: Slippers „
I love my Totes socks so was very excited when my sister told me she had bought me some Totes memory foam slippers. I love my slippers and have loads but most of them are coming to the end of their life span so I was going to have to go out and buy myself a new pair for this winter anyway.
The slippers are a clog style and are covered in a grey faux fur. The faux fur is very luxurious feeling and so super soft. You can tell this is good faux fur and not the cheap stuff as it didn't become ratty and stringy after a few days unlike most faux fur slippers I've had in the past.
The slippers are missing a back which I know a lot of people like but I do normally prefer to have a back in my slippers. However it does make them really easy to put on and take off again without having to bend over and use my hands. They also don't slide off when I have them on my feet so although personally I would have probably went for a pair with a back these ones don't bother me too much not having it.
You can feel the memory foam as soon as you put the slippers on your feet and this is nice and spongy and really does give my feet a lovely cushioning when I am walking. The memory foam actually does mould to the shape of your feet and I can already feel the difference in the shape and I especially appreciate the fact it seems to have moulded to my toes which I am always seeming to stub so these give me extra protection.
The only major thing that I can criticise these slippers for is that you can't really just pop out to the bins with them on as any slight wetness on them is just going to ruin them. As they weren't actually designed for this I can't criticise too much and I have some flip flops by the back door for that and at least I can get these off the flip flops on go outside and then put these back on in seconds since they are so easy to put on and off.
My sister got these for £13.99 but the usual price seems to be around about £18. For less than £20 I would say these are good value as they are really comfortable and I personally can notice the difference in these compared to the cheaper ones that I was wearing.
After three years of daily use, it was time to admit that my furry leopard print Totes slippers were at the end of their life, and new ones were needed. So when my mum asked me if there was anything particular I wanted for Christmas, I asked for a new pair of Totes.
Come Christmas morning, I unwrapped a present to find a pair of the Totes Fur Clog with Memory Foam Slippers in pink - the official colour name is burgundy, but they're pink as far as I'm concerned. I was delighted - as my previous pair had been memory foam ones, I was confident these would be very comfy.
The slippers are clog-style, with a lip around the back of the heel. The soles are not rubber but they are a very strong fabric so they are hard wearing. Putting these on for the first time, the soles are incredibly comfortable and thick, although you can feel the foam depressing under your weight and shaping around your foot.
The memory foam is great stuff. As you continue wearing the slippers, the foam shapes around your foot and as time passes it stops popping back up and stays in the shape of your foot. Although the initial feeling of a springy sole is really nice, it's better to have slippers which are almost made for your feet. The shaping occurs very quickly, and after a few days you can feel that the foam is retaining its shape. I've had these for a month now, and they are completely shaped to my feet. However, the sole remains thick and cushy under my foot.
The fake fur on these slippers is very soft and of good quality - my previous pair were only just starting to look a little ratty after three years of daily wear, and being slept on by my cat. My new pair still look brand new, and I expect they will continue to do so for some time.
My flat is not the warmest place in winter, and although I can get it warmed up reasonably well with the heating, I always keep slippers on as the floor can be chilly. These new totes are certainly doing a good job of keeping my feet cosy during the colder spell we're having just now.
I'm not a very "pink" person, but I love the look of these slippers. The fake fur isn't a flat pink, it is darker underneath and I think the "tipped" part of the name refers to the fact that the fur is wavy in places so that the different shades of the colour give a mottled effect.
I'm really pleased with my new Totes slippers, and I'm confident that I will get several years of wear from them before I need a new pair! They may not be the cheapest slippers out there at £20 a pair, but they really are worth it!
