Advantages: Comfy to wear, looks casual & modern/trendy
Disadvantages: Colour, cold, thin
This boots come in a few different colours and the price range of this time seems to be extremely variable so i would suggest that the potential buyer shops around A LOT. I picked a pair of these up for £44 from M & M direct. I bought them in black with tiny flecks of gold. I wish i had bought them in just black. These seem to be the cheaper Ugg's that you can buy
These boots are classic Ugg's and as such have the fur lined bottom which is extremely comfortable and i would recommend them for that reason however; black with threads of gold! They a more like gold with flecks of black over them. Imagine Britney spears type footwear; all sparkly and more suited to a young girl than a 20/30/40+ year old woman! I would not wear them and felt embarrassed and my 17 year old daughter laughed at the sight of them and refused point blank to wear them, however my 11 year old thinks they are 'cool' and hasn't had them off her feet yet! (She also loves Glee/ HSM and all the other 'girly' programmes)
The style is acceptable for day wear and looks a little shabby chic with the 'flapover' hanging onto the floor which looks fashionable but will not take long to fray or look dirty, so be warned - maintenance will be required . They are not waterproof either and take 2 days to dry out under a radiator! but they do have a comfortable warmth about them. Imagine dragging a sheepskin rug around "under" your feet all day- cant complain about that! But the tops are just a knitted covering and not warm or protected from the elements at all. I would go as far as to say suitable for summer/dry weather only.
They do make your feet/ ankles look quite a bit bigger than they actually are, but as my daughters are slim they look pretty good on her. The sizing of the boots seems to be pretty strange in that I am a 5 so ordered a 6, but size 7 got delivered due to some sort of mix up but they fitted me perfectly. I later tried my friends 6 on and they were to small. So I would suggest that you try them on before purchasing or go up a size. The sizing seems to be different from my other Uggs.
For the price you cant complain if you buy the other colours but i would suggest if you are over 13 forget about black & gold, and they are definitely more of a summer Ugg.
Summary: Try before you buy - check the colours & sizing carefully
