Advantages: Amazingly good quality and very comfortable
Disadvantages: very expensive
Do you know what, I absolutely love these boots. I have now bought 3 pairs over the last 5 years and they are all still going strong. They are like marmite, you either love them or hate them. They are extremely comfortable especially on the way to work. You dont have to wear trainers and then change into heels when you get to the office and Uggs look good too. (Again, some people will disagree, which is understandable).
My review will mostly be quite positive for this product because they do last a long time and keep you warm during the winter months. HOWEVER, they are just too over priced. Yes, you are getting a good quality sheepskin product that does everything it says but over the years the price creeps up. I bought my first pair in 2007 and they only cost me £140. Bought my second pair a year later and that cost me £150. NOW they are £175, which is ridiculous. But I do think that they are an investment.
People sometimes say that they are best to wear barefoot but I prefer to wear sock under them probably because I am used to wearing socks or tights with general boots. But both are fine.
You can buy the insole for around £20 off ASOS if it gets too worn out. ASOS also offer 10% (sometimes 20%/25%) off for student discount so I would suggest buying it on their, but they always seem to have size 7 out of stock.
I would suggest hunting down an authentic UGG distributor rather than buying from their website because other stores sometimes offer student discount and have sales going on. I bought a pair for £135 from a small shop called Bullfrogs in Clapham because they offered 10% student discount. The UGG website have a list of their stockists both online and in store so double check on that website. John Lewis have an UGG sale from time to time so keep a look out on their website. They didn't have size 7 so I couldn't buy anything but I think it was around 15% cheaper.
I am a size 7 in general shoes and I wear size 7 in UGGs. Some people thing that you need to get a size smaller or bigger but I wouldn't suggest that. Uggs are meant to be snug for the first few wears and they then loosen up.
Good Luck finding uggs....make sure to look at the website so they are genuine stockists! :)
