Advantages: snuggly toasty!
Disadvantages: pricey
After hearing so much about these boots and finding a great deal online I got these for my birthday!
Now for many they simply look like ugly boots that are a fashion accessory and nothing else BUT I like to think I only buy an item if it is worth the money not simply because it is in fashion.
These are without doubt the most comfy cosy boots I have ever worn! In our artic winter that we are currently experiencing I can wear these without socks (that is how you are meant to wear them to allow air to circulate) and my feet remain toasty! I have had these boots for over a year now and they look fine still, no sagging around the heel like many of the cheaper versions!
The main ingredient of the boot so to speak is indeed twin faced sheep skin which is often where the cheaper versions fall flat as you do not get as much of this if any at all.
In fact it's fair to say these are so good I purchased the chestnut small version this winter and i'm very happy with them too!
Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for! I would recommend anyone looking on ebay to be VERY careful as although there are genuine ones on there, there are also tonnes and tonnes of fakes!
Top retail price is £170 for the tall and £130 for the small. However if you shop around online there are genuine websites that sometimes offer sales and codes which can make a small difference to the price. These are also available on Amazon so you could save up your vouchers for them!
Summary: I love em!

- 08/01/09 You can spot the cheap imitations a mile off - everyone wearing them walks like they've got rickets.... :) |
