Advantages: Comfortable, Warm, Snug, Trendy
Disadvantages: Expensive
I have for a couple of years wanted a proper pair of UGG boots after seeing them in a magazine.
So last autumn I saw a great deal 30% off a pair of UGG boots from a site called www.shudoo.co.uk which saved me £50! I got the boots for £118 and they retail at around £170.00
Still £118 is a lot to pay for a pair of boots, well maybe but the quality is so high and I have barely taken them off since I bought them.
I decided to get the Chocolate Brown ones as I'm so clumsy and I'm glad I did as i have spilt pretty much everything on them. I'm a working woman doing several things at once so it was bound to happen.
I know you can buy cheaper alternatives for about £10 in the supermarket and that they look the same, well yes they do from a distance but when you get a real pair of Uggs they feel sturdy and comfortable.
Made with 100% sheepskin they keep your feet at the ideal temperature. In fact you're not meant to wear socks while wearing them but I would feel really very odd wearing them with bare feet.
Before buying my pair of Uggs I bought lots of alternative versions, one pair from Next for £30, they felt flimsy and after a while you could see the wear on one side where my foot was collapsing the cheap fabric.
I also got a pair from River Island, these were made a lot better then many other places but didn't have much padding inside the boot although the sole was made out of rubber, so at least my feet were comfortable.
The supermarket brands are the worse, you can pick them up for £10 and they just are so flimsy id just not bother.
You have to be careful with buying Uggs as there are a lot of fakes out there. I would buy them from a well known shop and would stay clear of auction sites if you want a real pair.
When my boots arrived they came in a gorgeous brown box and came with authenticity card also with care for keeping your Uggs in tip top condition.
I plan to buy my next pair this autumn and keep the ones I have now for when i am doing messy things outside.
If you got to www.moneysavingexpert.co.uk there is an ongoing thread where you can pick up the cheapest uggs as there are various deals with using discount codes.
www.mandmsports.co.uk they had a great deal on uggs for £70 but only had them in size 9's
A real good boot which is versatile and comfortable, what more could you ask for?
Summary: Will last years if you look after them.
