Advantages: Warm and fleecy.
Disadvantages: Very expensive.
We bought a pair of these for our oldest daughter last autumn as now she is getting a little older (and wears the same size shoes as me - always very useful) we needed to get her something which was both fashionable and would keep her feet warm in the winter.
She already had several pairs of Uggs, and so she wanted to try these ones and I must say I was very impressed with both the quality and durability of these boots. The boots have wooden buttons on the side which you can open if you choose to wear them a different way, inside they have a fleece lining so you can wear without socks however my daughter always wore socks with them and they were still just as comfortable, and they did keep her feet very warm. I dont recommend wearing these in water or snow as I made the mistake of 'lending' them (Im only in my thirties - I can still get away with wearing my daughters clothes.... just) and nearly ruined them as we had a lot of snow here in the North West last winter and I assumed they would keep my feet warm as they did during the dry weather but the water seeps in, and left my feet feeling really cold so they dont offer much protection there.
We purchased ours from Cheshire Oaks outlet village and paid £125.00 for them and we certainly have had our money worth from them, you can now find these ones for a little cheaper but you do need to be aware because there are some fakes out there. They look nice with a pair of skinny jeans or over a pair of leggings and are very easy to put on when in a rush. The only downside is the woolly fabric can catch on things as I noticed my daughter has a pull in them which has left a sort of loop sticking out, this does blend in but if you look closely you can see it and this was caused by the velcro fastening on her coat sticking to it.
We liked these boots so much we bought her another pair of the same style but in a different colour however as with all trends she has now changed her style (keep up mum) and has just advised me she wont be needing a pair this Autumn.
Summary: Worth paying that little bit extra for.
