      create an Impression

I purchased a pair of the Ugg Impressionist flip flops whilst on holiday last year in the US. I actually bought them from an Ugg Outlet Shop in one of the Outlet Malls over there, and I only paid $15, which depending on the exchange rate is only about £10. I've since seen them available over here for £35, so I got myself a mega bargain!

The Ugg Impressionist flip flops come in a range of colours; black, coral, purple, silver and gold. I have them in the coral colour, which is actually called 'Lipstick'.
I have them in a US size 6, which is UK size 4. I find that with Ugg boots, and also with these flip flops that I can go down a size as they are on the big side, I'm normally a UK size 5, or a US size 7. I have fat little feet, and the width of these flip flops is perfect for me, sometimes with sandals and flip flops my little toes can be hanging off the sides due to my wide feet, but not so with these, my feet sit on the soles perfectly. The straps on these fit my fat little feet perfectly too.

These have a very soft rubber toe post and straps, in a lovely vibrant coral colour. They have little silver metal Ugg sunburst logos attached to the outside straps of each flip flop, to finish them off and to create a little bit of interest and decoration. The straps and toe post section are very securely attached through the sole of the flip flops. The soft rubber toe post and straps are really comfortable and don't rub or irritate my feet at all, even if I've had these on all day.

The soles on these flip flops are very thick and cushioned, and they cushion my feet completely from feeling any lumps and bumps on the pavement when I'm walking around in them. They have a matt feel to the footbed of the sole, and my feet don't slip or slide around on these when I'm wearing them, no matter how hot and sticky my feet may get. They also have the Ugg sunburst logo embossed all over the base of the soles to create a textured grip so that you don't slip on shiny surfaces such as shopping mall floors whilst walking around in these.

The soles themselves I would say are more of an orange colour than coral, and the footbed of the soles have a swirly Impressionist inspired print (hence the name Ugg Impressionist) embossed on them in a coffee colour. I've had these for over a year now, and they've had a lot of wear, the coffee colour swirls have worn off slightly over that year, obviously where my feet are rubbing against the pattern. It's not noticeable when I wear them though as my feet cover the worn away patches. I do think that if I'd paid £35 for these than I'd probably be very disappointed with the print wearing off, however as I only paid around £10 I'm not too bothered.

I've been very happy with these as they are very comfortable and I can wear these all day and walk for miles in them with no discomfort whatsoever. I don't think that I would have bought them at £35 though, purely because I think that £35 is too much to pay for a pair of flip flops no matter how comfortable they may be. They are well made and they still have lots of life left in them. I'd definitely buy another pair if I could get them as cheap the second time around.

I'm struggling with a rating as if I rate them against what I paid $15/£10 then I'd give them 5 stars. However if I rate them against the cost to buy in the UK of £35, then I think that they probably deserve 3 stars. So I'll go in the middle with 4 stars!

        Great flip flops

Last year I bought a pair of Ugg Fluffies - the flip flops from Ugg with the sheepskin lining. I have worn them to death and was adamant that more than one pair would be bought this year. However, before going on holiday in May I had a hunt online and couldn't find any. Well I could but they were all in white with pink fur which wasn't what I was after. There were a few of my preferred colour in sales but of course these were all in the less popular sizes. There was a new range coming out soon but in the meantime I needed some Uggs!

I came across these Ugg Impressionist Flares on the Very website. When I ordered they were newly released and we're only available in silver or gold as the predominant colour but over the last few days I have seen that you can get them in black and pink too. I opted for the silver because I preferred the colour and thought it would go better with my wardrobe. I paid £34.99 for these.

When they arrived they were packaged in a small brown Ugg branded box. Inside they were wrapped in white tissue paper which had the Ugg branding on so in my opinion they are packaged nicely so therefore they would make a lovely gift.

The flip flops have a silvery blue foam base with dark blue swirls on. The straps of the flip flops are made of a soft plastic which is silver and there is a bronze Ugg branded pin on the outside strap of each shoe.

My feet are between sizes but I almost always go for the larger because I cannot stand shoes that are too small. This is especially important for these because I knew that they would be worn a lot and also your feet can swell in heat.

When I put these on they were a perfect fit...I was like cinderella with the glass slipper! The straps fitted perfectly on my feet and although snug, they were not at all tight. The base of the flip flops is really soft and I feel as though my feet are cushioned well.

I have worn these probably fifty times now and they are still as comfortable as day one. They are definitely without a doubt the comfiest shoes I own. I have worn them in a variety of places and situations from shopping to walking in the Lake District. They are comfortable in every situation and I also think that they look fantastic too so I feel as though I'm trying to retain some style despite being constantly in flip flops!

I have worn these a great deal over the past few months and sadly the pattern under my foot has began to rub off. However, my foot covers this when I am wearing them so although it is slightly annoying, it's not too bad. The rest of the flip flops look brand new though, there are no scrapes on the toes or heels and the straps still look perfect.

I am happy with these flip flops and will almost certainly be buying another colour of these. I believe that they are an excellent quality flip flop from a very well known brand and they are very comfortable aswell as being hardwearing and looking good.
