When I was younger, I went through that stage of wearing vans, etnies and converses. All my pocket money would go on the new trainers displayed in Treds. Vans were my favourite of the lot and ended up buying 4 different styles.

The first thing you will like about Vans is the comfort. There is no hassle with buttons, laces, Velcro or zips. Just slip them on. This helps those who are like me where if there's a lazy way out, you'll take it. These shoes helped in the morning to speed my way through the door. Certainly not like converses where you spend a good 10 minutes squeezing your feet into them and tying up the laces.

My favourite thing about Vans is the massive range of style that it comes in. Plain and colour, chequered, swirls etc. You can really give your look something unique and as there are so many, it's rare that you will come across someone else in the same ones. That is of course if you are not going for the original.

It's unfortunate that these seem to be going out of fashion. I only see them nowadays on chefs or the like. I would love it if they came back as they really are so comfy!
