“ Brand: Walkright / Type: Sandals „
I suggested these children's shoes to Dooyoo for one reason, to tell anyone who is thinking of buying a pair not to bother. It's a good time for this warning as I noticed they had been reduced in Shoe Zone yesterday, but even at the reduced price they are one of the very worst kids shoes I've bought for any of my three. They do look nice, very basic in appearance but an understated basic which stands out better than more bright and vibrant sandals out there. The white leather look straps are very summery, plus the sequins and flower detail above the toepost make them look very grown up and girly. There are more problems than bonuses though and as good as they look they are absolutely useless for a young child to walk in, and actually gave my three year old daughter an open sore between her big toe and the toe next to it. The toepost is very rigid, Mark said I should never have bought them for Hollie due to the open styling of them and I think he was right. Don't tell him though, it'll only go to his head! The sole is the thinnest I've seen, it's not a cork sole even though it's designed to look like it. It's simply a very hard and stiff sole with hardly any give at all as my daughter walks in the sandals, there's zero cushioning either which means there would be no chance of her walking any distance in them even though she is usually a very good walker. The velcro fastener on the heel strap doesn't work well either, these are so uncomfortable that they have barely been used but already the velcro has lost a lot of it's stickiness and now the edge of the strap flaps about and looks very untidy. Adding insult to injury, half of the sequins have dropped off the sandals so I can't even Ebay these now as even though the shoes themselves are more or less brand new still they look rough as as*holes thanks to Walkright not bothering to affix these properly. Mind you, I don't think I'd subject someone elses little girl to these awful shoes anyway so they'll be going in the bin rather than onto Ebay. I've honestly never seen Hollie trip so much as when she was wearing these. They are a completely unsuitable style for very young girls, and I was quite surprised looking at the Shoe Zone website today to see they start at a toddler size 5. This would fit a child of around two years old, which is ridiculous. A little 'un of that age is still learning to walk on their feet without stumbling, they need much more support than these shoes can offer and at such a darling little age they definitely need more comfort than these cheap and nasty sandals. £7.99 from Shoe Zone. Biggest rip off in the country.
