Advantages: great hard wearing shoe

Disadvantages: quite expensive

Dr martens are a company that retail in footwear. This department store in London is great as its massive. The sell every type of Dr marten shoes/boots imaginable. The store also has glass cabinets everywhere, with signed boots by various famous people. I will tell you more about the products they sell......The items they sell are quite expensive but well worth the money. Dr martens come in a variety of colour and style and are made for men women and a small amount for children.

Dr marten black boots are the most popular these retail for around £60. The boots are very smart looking with a tidy yellow stitch that goes around the sole. The boots are lace up and usually have 6 eye holes to thread your laces through. They are made from real leather which doesn't scratch easily which I think is good. These remind me of working boots. Doc marten boots usually appeal to different types of people. They look smart and are hard wearing and reliable footwear. I have noticed that young adults who listen to the loader style of music favourite these type of shoe. The boots are also very water proof and comfortable so ideal for walking long distances or wearing for work.

I have always wore Dr martens I think its strange that I only started wearing these as my dad was a punk and he wore them. I decided they looked rather cool so I requested some for Christmas and I had a pair bought for me. I had had different coloured Dr martens in my time, some include, Red, purple, green and I have even invested in a flowered pair. When I got to concerts I find these an essential as I really don't want my toes trampled on so these prevent my toes getting hurt. They are not steeled toe but are very strong so act like they are.

I have seen the smart shoes that are made by Dr Marten but I have never bought any. They look very comfortable and the ones I have seen are usually around £50. I was looking on the internet the other day at the Dr Marten's website and came across the children's ones. These were £45 but I really do begrudge paying this as my daughters feet grow so fast, I know they will not be in the long. They are gorgeous though and sizes start from a toddler's size 5

I think Dr martens are well worth the money you pay and no one would be disappointed if the bought a pair. This is a great store to visit if you ever consider buying a pair.

Summary: I really love this store and well worth a vist if you are thinking about buying a nice pair of boots

They're just not as hard wearing as they used to be! Sigh.

They take a lot of wearing in though! I have a bright pink pair and the classic blacks, had them years!! Had the oxblood ones at junior school when they were very cool, trailed all over town for them: my mum and dad were very patient! xx
