Advantages: A decent store with cool items

Disadvantages: Very expensive!

This is the store for all you people out there that are geeks at heart! (me included).
The store is what you might call a comic book store. obviously they have a hue selection of comic books but they also sell memoribilia from the anime, gaming and comic book cultures!

Aswell as comic books they have a selection of Manga which is Japanese comics but usually resembles a novel. Their comic selection is huge. Im not a collector myself but was impressed by the huge amounts which also included graphic novels. In the manchester store the comic section is in the basement and along with manga it takes up the whole floor. Also downstairs they have some specialist items. These include model kits from Japan and a few items that are a bit expensive!

Upstairs has a crazy selection of film, anime and gaming memorabilia. They have collectors items like models and action figures. They have some posters or pictures. They also have some of the latest video games and DVD's. The DVD's are normally quite specialist like anime or super hero films. The stock is pretty much on constant rotation depending on what is around at the time. They can also order a few things in if you ask them.

The staff are good and bad. Some know what they are talking about but some seem out of place completely! Most are friendly however!

The prices are very high. Comics and mangas are more expensive than most books stores. The memorabilia you can get from Ebay or sometimes AMazon for much cheaper. To be honest there isnt much need to buy anything from there but its nice to go in and have a look.

Summary: Its OK!

Nice review =) I love Forbidden Planet in Manchester (it's the most impressive one I've been to) but stuff is so expensive I too end up buying it online...
