Advantages: Shops all in one place, new shops opening shortly

Disadvantages: No electrical store

As the first to write a review I feel I should wait for 2 weeks until the new section opens. It is going to be a food court with Nandos and Starbucks and others will be a much needed addition to the site. Another new thing opening is an indoor play centre which I am guessing will have an extra charge, but will be worth it for those with children visiting as it will break up the day and the kids wont mind shopping all day knowing they will get a treat at some point.

Moving onto what is actually there at the moment.. The car park is massive with extra parking underneath which I have only ever had to use once around Christmas a few years ago.

As you enter by car you can park on the right or left side but all the shops are joined up and have a small undercover walkway around the entire site. On one side you start with WhSmith, HMV which is a very big store and has signings from music artists fairly regulary. A travel shop, phone shop, oasis - what was Adams but not to sure what it will be/is now that has closed down, a suit shop and round the corner are more ladies fashion shops with principals and wallis together and then along to the Arcadia group shops - topman/shop, burtons, dp's, evans all of which you can walk through without having to go outside. A sports shop, boots which is wonderful for Christmas shopping as it is very big, costa is in the next corner along with a cash point - the only one currently open!

Phone shop, opticians and another sports shop. Around the next corner is shops including mothercare, elc, design by debenhams, new look, card shop, shoe shops. M&S is in the last corner following onto next, river island and bhs.

The Fort has many shops you would need for a good days shop, not as much as the Bullring in Birmingham but for me it is a great place to spend a morning of afternoon and with the new section due to open shortly it will encourage you to spend longer there. The only thing I would say is missing is an electrical shop there did used to be a dixons or currys there many moons ago but it is now either new look or debenhams which as much as I enjoy still feel that it is missing that.

I tend to go here for clothes shopping mainly and just for a look around during the week when it is less busy than going into town to shop

Summary: Have spent many hours shopping here and will contiune to do so!
