OK, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's probably the closest thing to Harrods in Central Manchester. Set on about 7 floors, there are departments for pretty much everything; clothing, fragrances, delicatessen, electricals, furniture, toys etc. There are 3 floors of womens with menswear in the basement. The prices are at the top end of the scale with most designer names available. Everything from Helly Hansen to Versace. Services offered other than shopping are restaurants, a personal shopping service and a beauty salon. To be honest, shopping for clothes at Kendals is probably only worth it during the sales when there are massive reductions on alot of items,or if you are lazy. This is because most of the designer names have shops on King Street (round the corner) with a wider choice. Selfridges in the Trafford Centre is slightly classier although it is smaller.
