Advantages: Good quality, stylish, hard-wearing
Disadvantages: a bit pricey
I started wearing Kickers shoes when I was a teenager. I have to say I was influenced by the fact they were the in-thing at the time, but the shoes I 'encouraged' my parents to get for me were stylish and hard-wearing. I like to buy smart shoes that are also a bit different and have a good style as well as functionality, so I currently wear a pair of blue Kickers with white soles for work. I bought them about 6 months ago, and they are still going strong.
They took a long time to 'break in', they felt quite rigid at first, and I had to get a size 7 and wear an insole as they weren't available in half sizes! The blue dye from the leather leached out onto the white laces, which was annoying, but it came out in the wash with the assistance of a little bleach.
So that's the bad. But I feel the good points far outweigh these. All the pairs of Kickers I have bought have been very tough, and some pairs I have owned for several years. I really like the Kickers style, it's smart, fashionable and distinctive.
You can buy Kickers shoes for all ages, and I'm looking forward to buying my children their first pairs of Kickers.
You do tend to pay quite a lot for Kickers shoes, but they are not as expensive as other brands, and I've always found them to be good quality.
Summary: Really good shoes with a distinctive style, for all ages.
