Great shopping experience (Liverpool One)

Advantages: Brand new, lots of new stores

Disadvantages: Expensive parking

Liverpool One has been a huge boost to Liverpool's shopping scene, which previously came nowhere near to rivaling that of Manchester. The layout and design are really well done, and it has a very open and spacious feel. I like the way it has been designed with an outdoors feel to it, rather than just another covered shopping mall. There are some great shops and restaurants in here, especially places like Las Iguanas, Barburrito, John Lewis and Debenhams. The new Odeon is great, centrally located with a nice modern feel to it. The Shakeabout milkshake bar opposite the cinema is unique and is a must visit, especially with things like marmite milkshake on offer! The main downside to the centre is parking, although there is plenty available it is not free, it is actually very expensive! At around £2 per hour this could turn out to be a very expensive shopping trip!

Summary: Great place to visit, huge boost for Liverpool, pity about the parking
