Advantages: High quality products

Disadvantages: I know they have started stocking brand names but they could do with stocking a few more.

Marks and Spencer is an excellent store which not only offers high quality food but also home ware, clothing and electrical goods. I will start with their food which is exceptional, it may be a little expensive for me to shop their on a regular basis but once is a while doesn't break the bank. As mentioned it may be a bit more expensive than other supermarkets but for me it does not seem that much more, I recently purchased some food for a barbeque and found it quite reasonable and the food was very good quality, they seemed to have introduced a new range called wise buys which seem lower priced but still offer good quality, maybe this is there way of helping in the credit crunch and trying to complete with the likes of Tesco's and Sainsbury's. As well as food a lot of the stores sell clothes and home ware, I have not purchased any items of clothing but can say the home ware is very good and once again well priced. I recently purchased some plates and cups and with their 3 for 2 offer and the 20% off they were doing at the time the price was very good, I also brought some new suitcases from them a while back and after a lot of looking around other places I found these to be the best value, they survived my recent trip and there are no signs of them falling apart just yet. In general Marks and Spencer is a great all round store offering many products, don't be put off by its reputation as being very expensive as you may find this not to be the case for some items.
