Advantages: Great quality, trusted brand

Disadvantages: Very expensive

Everyone knows M&S, but not everyone shops there, surely? I mean, the quality of items are undeniably good, but the prices are high to match. I can't see how the average Jo could possibly do there weekly shop there regularly witht he prices M&S charge.

I don't recall the prices off the top of my head, but just look at the fruit section to realise just how much extra you'd be paying at M&S compared to Asda, Tesco etc to see how much you would be spending at M&S compared to other stores. On the other hand, the food does seem to be prepared better and if you are middle class or not worried about money at all, then M&S is probably worth paying extra for, as arguably it has better health value - but that could be debated.

I'm sure there are bargains to be had - but on the rare occasion i've ventured into the food aisle i've not seen any. So you just need to weigh up your pocket against the item quality.

The examples of food i've given extend to non-food items to. If you've never checked out M&S prices then it's probably a good time to do a little investigation and comparison.

Summary: Good for a treat, expensive to buy regularly

There is much more to M&S than fruit, yet that is the only section you mention. I think you might be better reviewing the food section specifically, rather than M&S in general - there is a specific category for this .
