Advantages: Great variety of shops and eateries, good transport links, well laid out centre, clean & modern feel

Disadvantages: Very busy, don't drive there as it is a nightmare

Merry Hill shopping centre is one of the many shopping centres to have sprung up around the country over the last 25 years or so with this one opening in 1985 and still as popular as ever and offering up a huge variety for shoppers of all ages.

The centre itself is in Brierly Hill but draws in shoppers from all the surrounding areas with the shopping centre offering up a huge variety of shops including the likes of Asda, Au Naturale, BHS, Bodycare, Boots, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Jessops, Sainsbury's, Schuh, Superdrug and many more. The centre also has an Odeon Cinema across from it so for those parents desperate to take the kids out so they can get a day out at the shops and a day of exercise for the kids this gives something to keep them quiet.

The shopping centre itself is large, spacious, clean, fresh and offers a modern shopping experience that is more relaxed that having to rush around worrying about the weather thanks to all things needed being under one roof.
The centre also offers up a number of eateries allowing you the opportunity to get a bite to eat along with your shopping with numerous options for eating on offer including Burger King, McDonalds, KFC and more.
The centre is well serviced with transport links with buses running regularly to the centre (over 98 an hour go through the bus station) and the ability to get the train to Cradley Heath station and then jump a bus to the centre also an option. As you can guess the centre is extremely popular and so is always busy for the roads around it so driving in can be a frustrating experience even with ample parking on offer.

So what of the opening times?
Monday to Friday - 9.00am - 9.00pm
Saturday - 9.00am - 7.00pm
Sunday - 11.00am - 5.00pm

Positives:

- Well laid out and modern feeling shopping experience
- Good transport links
- Excellent variety of stores and eateries
- Good variety of entertainment in the surrounding area
- Good opening hours
- Shopping centre is only on 2 floors so no need to go up and down a load of steps for your shopping day
- Spacious walking areas between stores
- Good facilities

Negatives:

- Extremely busy

This shopping centre offers up a good shopping experience that is enjoyable and relaxing but if you are going to head there expecting to be the only one in there then forget it as you will be joined by many thousands of others. Excellent shops and eateries allow a full day out to be had under the one roof.

Summary: A great shopping experience with plenty to offer
