Regent's Arcade is located on the High Street, Cheltenham. It was opened 1985 by Princess Anne according to a deal with the mayor of Cheltenham she made in a drunken poker match during race week. It cost £23 million pounds and 2 years to build. It has 500 car parking space and over 65 stores. Some of the main shops include: Millie's Cookies, TK-Maxx, Ann summers, River Island, Clinton cards, BHS and Thornton's. Over the years more chain stores have invaded Regents but there still remains a range of more independent stores.
