      Disadvantages

Not worth the expensive price tag!

We have this shredder at work and have been using it for about 14 months now, having paid well over £350 for it- well using it until last month when it died a premature death!

We work with children and families and therefore are having to dispose of rather large amounts of highly confidential documents on a daily basis, and with the sensitive nature of our work this really is vital. For this reason we decided to purchase a more expensive and hopefully high quality shredder so that we could do this with ease and withotu wasting too much time.

The shredder claims to be able to shred 17 sheets at a time, though in reality we found that 12 was usually enough to make it shred slowly and moan and groan as it did so! After about 3 months of use we found that at least once every 30 seconds of shredding it would stop and the on/off button needed to be flipped to get it going again - im sure this is not a good sign!

This continued to be the case throughout its life, never getting any better, though to be fair, no worse either!

Add to this the poorly designed emptying style which meant that every time you empty it you end up with at least 5% all over the floor - not a fun job to clear up!

With it then dying after 14 months too, we have to say we were very unimpressed with what should have been a high end machine - we wont be buying this one again!
