Advantages: A huge basket for the shredded mess!

Disadvantages: It does get a bit hot!

Does this do exactly what it says on the tin?

I don't think so at all.

We, like many other people have got ever concious about the need not to have our identities stolen...although I quite like the idea of another me running around eastern Europe buying CDs and make up!

We decided to buy a shredder so that we could get rid of paper work. previously we had been pulping it and adding it to our compost bin, this we will continue to do this too with all of our newly shredded paper too!

We have been amazed at just how quickly paperwork builds up that needs to be shredded!SO we looked around and found a good shredder from Tescos.

We chose Tescos because they are quick to deliver, give good value for money and also, we get clubcard points on our purchases!

We ordered the shredder on a Sunday evening and it arrived on Tuesday morning, minimal packaging and minimal fuss.

The basket is made from steel and feels very thick and strong. It also, surprisingly, holds loads of paper.... it took a long time to fill up and even longer to empty out into the compost bin!

The shredder element is easy enough to use, but did on occasion, overheat. At first we thought that it had broken, but after leaving it for about ten minutes it was ready to go again.

I must say that there is something highly addictive about shredding and it is a satisfying job with the TESCO shredder. It makes minimal noice too... We were still able to watch the TV whilst doing it!

Although this shredder says it can take five sheets at a time, we would recommend caution here...three or four is the maximum and five just makes it get hot and slow.

All in all though, We are really happy with it and feel we have got a good value for money bargain.

Summary: Well worth the money :)
