Khan El-Khalili (Cairo, Egypt):
... review is simply for Khan El Khalili, I am not even going to attempt to review Cairo, as I simply cannot put it in words to justify it. Khan El Khalili is situated in the Islamic quarter of Cairo. It is widely believed to have inspired Columbus to discover the United States. It is a souk, or market, and one of the most famous sited to see within Cairo, and was established in 1382. This market is situated at on... Read the full review: Hot and heavy... by heynonnynonny |

Djemaa el Fna (Marrakech, Morocco) ... in Marrakech, I stuck to my top 10 guide as everyone seemed to have this book on them but it was definitely necessary as I wasn t sure of major attractions here. One of the main things listed to see if of course the Djemaa El Fna which translates to Assembly of the Dead. It is almost like the town centre as it is the main square where all of the things happen. In the day time this square is not the best place to be as there is no shade with it being a wide open square with the Moroccan sun hitting down on it. The square is where a lot of locals come as well as a lot of tourists. In the daytime the main things you will come across here are the orange juice stalls wh... Pyramids at Giza ... years experience of Egypt was an excellent one. Our trip was booked through the rep at the hotel, would love to go back and explore as we wish now we know our way around a bit! An early morning flight from Southern Sinai got us to Cairo International Airport around 7am. We then got onto a people carrier with our tour guide and driver, there was us and another couple and being in such a small group made it very good indeed. We then made our way to Giza City, and as you will already know the roads are mental, 7 lanes of traffic merging and overtaking, it really is great fun to watch going on all around you. There was loads of white VW camper vans for some reason whic... Read the full review: Walk like an Egyptian by heynonnynonny |

Amadores Beach Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) ... usually like to try a new place every year for our summer holidays but this year we decided to return to the resort of Puerto Rico on the island of Gran Canaria after staying there last year. One of the main reasons for the return was the fact that we loved the apartments we had stayed in last year and the other main reason was for the wonderful Amadores Beach. Not being a family of beach lovers after visiting this beach once, we were totally hooked and just couldn t get enough of it! Set with the unusual backdrop of newly built, extraordinary and very classy looking hotels built into the high volcanic rock the Amadores beach should not be missed. The beach itself is...
