These tickets give unlimited access to the Batobus for the period they are valid for, allowing you to hop on and hop off as much as you like. Sadly, these euro prices can more or less be converted to pounds on a 1:1 basis now. To be honest the main benefit of the Batobus is the pleasure of the journey. If you are in a hurry use any other transport. You could easily wait up to 15 minutes on a boat arriving and the speed of the boat is quite sedate; you could probably jog at a similar pace but speed isn't the point of this. During a recent trip to Paris I was struck by the number of ways a tourist can get around the city. Each obviously has their positive and negative points: Underground: is quick, convenient and cheap but you see nothing and the heat is stifling, even in October. Tourist Bus: lets you see the sites but gets caught in congestion and is reasonably expensive. The normal bus: is cheap but as a non-resident I wouldn't have a clue to begin. Which leaves the Batobus, the riverboat, which takes you up and down the Seine, stopping at eight different locations, all within walking distance of the main tourist attractions in Paris. The ... Used this boat-bus when in Paris at the start of the month. Think it was 36 euros for 2 adults and 2 children for a day pass. We wanted to buy a pass just from the Eiffel Tower to the Lourve but the man at the desk said they only do day passes. The reason we decided to do this is it was a good way of seeing some of the main sites of Paris and cheaper than the open top bus! It was so hot the day we used it we also just wanted to sit down and rest for a while! They came every 15-20 mins and there was a fairly big queue at the Eiffel Tower stop but we managed to get on the third boat/bus.
