Advantages: Beautiful, great value for money, cool and not crowed.

Disadvantages: Lots of steps.

For any visiter to Barcelona which wonders past this building will question: Should I go in? The ticket price of E16.50 seemed daunting to me, but the guide book said that is was one of the best places to observe Gaudi's work. So we stood inline to get in.

The ticket line went down quickly and we stepped past the gaurd into the cool of the entrace hall. There you are given a hand held audio device (at no extra cost) to guide you round the house. The guides come in most languages and certainly all the main European ones. The guide is informative and entertaining and leads you from room to room with a pause at each end so that you may move at your own pace.
By memory there are over 18 rooms and you need to allow at least an hour and a half to wander around. The place in true testoment to Gaudi is the perfect cool temperature (although I did spot a few air conditioners but with the amount of people they were needed). Also that was another thing, although there must have been over a hundred people in the house it was never crowed. At most points I was able to take photos uninterrupted.

The house is a beautiful house and so interesting (the handles for the windows were molded out of clay and then cast so that they perfectly fit in your hand). This place is definatally worth the vist, although there are a lot of steps and so not recomened for buggies etc.

Summary: A place to visit for tourists no matter what interests.
