Charles Bridge is a 500 year old bridge in Prague. It's 500 metres long, and contains 30 Baroque statues along it. It spans across the Vlatva river and has a tower at either end. It is free to cross. This is an amazing thing. This bridge is 500 metres long, but it takes around one hour to cross! The reason is that there is so much going ... Read the complete review

Five years ago my husband and I went to Prague for our honeymoon. One of the attractions that we were pointed into the direction of seeing was Charles Bridge which is built over the Vltava River. In 1357 the bridge began to be built but it wasn't finished until some hundreds of years later in the 15th century. It measures 516 metres ... Read the complete review

Before I visited Prague I heard from a few people that Charles Bridge was certainly a 'must-see attraction' in Prague, but I should also be prepared for 'huge crowds' and being unable to move. I'm not too keen on crowds, but I did want to visit this famous bridge and decided I would just grin and bear it, whilst also securing all my belongings ... Read the complete review

Charles Bridge was one of the highlights of our trip, especially because you seem to step on in one world, and when you reach the end you are in another. We headed on to the Bridge expecting just a ... Read the complete review

Erm...though seems a bit inappropriate to complain about tourists when you've just visited a landmark in a foriegn country AS a tourist, that said, the Charles Bridge is, in most daylight hours so tightly packed with crowds and crowds of tourists, that crossing it makes for a rather claustrophobic experience really. The structure itself is ... Read the complete review

I have just returned from a weekend away in Prague and during my time there I did cross the Charles Bridge. The bridge is in the centre of Prague and crosses the Vltava River. If you are staying in the town you need to cross the bridge to get to Prague Castle and it is a prime tourist spot as this is most people'splan when they visit ... Read the complete review

Charles Bridge is probably one of Pragues most recognised landmarks. For many years, Charles Bridge was the only way to cross the River Vltava that flows through the middle of the City. Nowadays there are many bridges connecting Old Town Prague and the New Town but there is still something very special about the Charles Bridge that makes it stand ... Read the complete review
