Advantages: Amazing views, beautiful food,

Disadvantages: Not for anyone suffering from vertigo

The CN Tower, in Toronto, Canada, is the second highest free-standing structure on land in all the world (surpassed only by the Burj Dubai). At 1815.39 feet tall, it is a commanding part of the downtown Toronto skyline, and a must for any visitor to the city.

I was lucky enough to eat in the 360 Restaurant, located at 1151.6 feet. The menu is varied, offering a fixed price meal (appetiser, main and dessert for $58 or $65) and a varied lunch and dinner menu. A standard three course lunch meal will cost you at least $75 dollars during the week, the food is good and the service brilliant. Add to that the amazing views of Toronto that you get as you eat, and all in all it's a bargain. The restaurant has won many awards including Most Romantic Restaurant, Best Restaurant with a View and numerous Best Wine awards.

Having purchased a meal at the restaurant, you are then entitled to visit the observation deck and glass floor for free. This is a must, because as beautiful as the views are from the restaurant, nothing beats standing on a glass floor and looking down, or being out in the open air and feeling on top of the world! Of course, photos of your feet on the glass floor are a must!

If you decide not to eat at the restaurant, and just wish to visit the observation deck and glass floor, it will cost you at least $21.99. There are other tickets that will allow you access to the skypod, and a movie, and a motion theatre ride, and this will cost you $32.99.

For anyone visiting Toronto (at least those who do not have a fear of heights), a visit to the CN Tower should certainly be at the top of the list.

Summary: Amazing views and fabulous food.
