When on holiday I find I get itchy feet quite quickly and whilst I appreciate that some tourists like nothing other than staying in their resort, with the only movement being the walk from their room to the pool and back again, I am not one of them. I like to see the surrounding area and countryside so I can really soak up the culture. I don't mind driving abroad, in civilized countries, but there are some countries I would not even contemplate driving in, whether on two wheels or the extra protection of four, and Turkey is one of those countries.
