Newest Review: ... this is a joggers’, cyclists‘ and skaters‘ haven – great and flat and it goes on for miles. You can swim in the water although it can be pretty cold, even in summer. The Donauinsel is home to the world’s longest water slide where you can get unlimited ride wristbands so you can rutsch and rutsch, and then rutsch some more. Warning though – if it’s 33 C outside, even sliding your way into the pool and getting slightly wet on the way down does not prepare you for the temperature difference. Lou and I found out the hard way (sic) that sometimes not even lined swimming costumes can protect you.... Out ... more
