What trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the icon that is the Eiffel Tower? We were really lucky with the weather when we went. It was clear and bright, but absolutely freezing! First off, the worse thing about visiting this attraction, is the crowds. There are people everywhere. Lots queueing for tickets, a few ... Read the complete review

The Eiffel Tower is really a beautiful statue to be seen, quite imposing on the banks of the Seine and definitely Paris's number one tourist attraction. A bit of background from an article I read, The Eiffel Tower is is a 19th century iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris that has become both a global icon of France ... I have been lucky enough to visit the Eiffel Tower quite a few times, most recently just a week or so ago. It never fails to impress in its splendour and prominence. Originally created as a temporary structure for a fete in 1889, it has remained an attraction and to this day it draws crowds and crowds. It was named after its designer, ... Read the complete review

I recently went on a trip to Paris as part of a group and as the vast majority of us had never seen the Eiffel Toer we put aside a day to go up it. Imagine our excitement when, as our plane was coming into land we caught a glimps of it through our little windows. as a person who had never seen it before the sheer size of it took my breath away. On my recent trip to Paris with a friend I knew that I wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower. I'd been up the Tower about 16 years ago but the last time I was in Paris, about 6 years ago, I couldn't go up as the ex-Mr Tart was scared of heights. My friend and I both made the Tower a priority for our trip. SOME HISTORY: The ... Read the complete review

The Eiffel Tower is one of the most iconic landmarks in the world and certainly one place any visit to Paris has to include, it is often said that the best views of Paris can be gained from the Eiffel Tower however I do not agree for the simple reason that any view from the Tower does not include the tower in it therefore for me the best views are ... Despite being one of the most recognised landmarks in the world, one can never truly understand the sheer size of the Eiffel Tower until you are standing beneath it. It is massive an little wonder, it used to be the tallest structure in the world. My first tip is to avoid visiting the Eiffel Tower at peak periods. So, if possible, avoid ... This massive Parisian landmark was originally built to impress visitors to the Universal Exhibition of 1889, and was supposed to be temporary. When you get there watch out for the hundreds of street sellers that are very persistant and annoying. My boyfriend persuaded me to walk to the second floor, as it was cheaper (3.80euro each) and ... If you visit Paris its almost rude not to go up the Eiffel tower. Those of you who have read my other reviews on Paris will know I went there last summer for a few days......and yes I did venture up the Eiffel tower. History: The Eiffel tower was built by the contractor Gustave Eiffel in 1889 and is 118 years old. It took only two ... Read the complete review

After having reviewed the Television Tower in Berlin, I thought I should perhaps review another tall monument I visited recently. Although visiting the Eiffel Tower is probably the most touristy thing you can do in Paris, it is a global landmark has to be experienced. I think most people going to Paris would head for this wonderful landmark and rightly so. The only advise I can offer anyone who wishes to travel here in high seasons is to book a table at the first floor restaurant for lunch or dinner to avoid the very very long queues of people waiting at the three sides of the tower for a lift. A lunch ... Read the complete review

The Eiffel Tower is built behind the Champs de Mars in Paris, and is the first Iron made structure of its kind. Since in creation in 1887 and 1889 it has become the ultimate icon of Paris, and the whole of France. It’s debatable in my book whether the Eiffel Tower or Sacré Coeur offers a better view, but one thing is certain – you won’t be disappointed if you get to the top of this place. Well don't mention it if you're half way up the Eiffel Tower, that's my advice. My boyfriend did this infront of a load of elderly english tourists, and it was very embarassing! I have to say, it is big, it is beautiful and it is a masterpiece, but it is full of money grabbing low-lifers and it costs a lot of money. You want to go up if it is a nice day, but if it is cold, windy, cloudy or murky, don’t bother, because it’s just not worth it! Oh yeah, and don’t buy any of the souvenirs on it, as you can ...
