Newest Review: ... my holiday in New York and we had a few hours to kill before going back to the airport for the flight home. As well as the train platforms and subway connections it has a main concourse area with marble floors, huge windows and decorative lighting in the form of chandeliers. The station was renovated and restored beginning in 1996 and now it is definitely a tourist attraction in it's own right, you can even take a guided tour. Grand Central Station in New York City is no ordinary train station. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely a major hub of New York's train network but it is also so much more than that. I visited in February 2007 on the last day of my holiday in New York and we had a few hours to kill before going back to the airport for the flight home.
