For years I had a desktop wallpaper on my computer of Iguazu Falls, knowing little about it, and little knowing in a few years time, I would be stood atop the falls, staring down into the perilous Devil's Throat. I always believed the falls to be in Brazil, and although some of them are, the majority lies within the Argentinian border (approx. 80%) Upon entering the Iguazu falls national park, we had the option to go on a jeep ride through the jungle and then a boat trip up the river to see the falls up close and personal! Iguaçu (or Iguazú) waterfalls are some of the most impressive in the world, not the biggest, widest nor tallest waterfall, but 275 separate waterfalls spread over a three-kilometre crescent between Argentina and Brazil. Most of the falls are in Argentina, but the best views are from the Brazilian side. While on holiday in Brazil, after a wonderful few days in Rio de Janeiro and before heading into the Amazon Jungle I spent a few days at Iguaçu, staying at the wonderful Tropical Das Cataratas Hotel.
