Contrary to the title of this page Kourion and Limassol are in Cyprus not Greece. Kourion is probably the best beach within close proximity of Limassol (20 minute drive). The beach could be over half a kilometre long with 3 tavernas spaced out along it. The water is nice and shallow so you can walk out a bit into the sea and the seabed is all sand, while the beach is mostly sand with a few pebbles. The water is relatively warm due to its shallowness. The tavernas are great for lunch you can order fresh seafood and Greek salad and eat gazing out into the Mediteranean Sea.
