When you hear that La Defense is the new commercial area of he city of Paris and loacated a little way out of the actual centre you might wonder why you would want to go there just to see a load of suits heading off to work however it is worth checking out if you have the time for a couple of reasons. La Defense is the 'new' commercial district of Paris, which provides a sharp contrast in its architectural style to that of the traditional iconic buildings of the capital. There's no doubt about its highly experimental nature. I believe it was an experiment that paid off and provides visitors with a truly outstanding environment. Sadly it's still not that well known as a haven for tourists, which is a shame, as these buildings deserve to be visited rather than viewed from afar.
