great place for a stroll (Las Rambla)

Advantages: lots of colourful life to see

Disadvantages: busy and pricey

Walked along here in the evenings during our stay in Barcelona, our daughter loved the hustle and bustle and the street entertainers and statues and the little gift stalls, though we never bought anything from them.

Its a great place to just stroll and have a seat and a drink and people watch. There are numerous bars and restaurants along here and wall to wall ones actually on the main thoroughfare.

The central part is pedestrianised where all the entertainers etc are and then along each side of this the traffic runs up one way and down the other so do be aware of that.

There are lots of lovely bars etc just off the main stretch that are well worth checking out as as you would expect on La Rambla itself the prices are higher than elsewhere.

There is a fab market open in daytime but we were too busy doing other things we never got to it so thats a to do next time round!
