The Best Things are Always Short and Quick! (Las Vegas Sign)

When in Vegas you have to see the sign. It is the one sight that you always see on the TV and in films and although it is just a sign it is a bit iconic I think. Vegas as you all probably know by now is so over the top in its glamour, its tackiness and it's just general amazingness and the sign really reflects this.

Location
The Vegas sign is not in the middle of the strip or anything like that but it is down the South of the Strip. To be honest we were driven to the sign and it did take a few minutes to get there so I am a bit unsure of if you could actually walk there.

There are however car parking spaces right by the sign to welcome you in so you will be able to park. It is in a very busy and big section of the road though so I don't think I would have been brave enough to drive there just to warn you.

I wont lie to you and tell you it is in a nice area as it is in the middle of the road and although it is a tourist sight you will not find many people there with you unless a coach has just parked up.

The Sign
So it is literally just a sign so don't be under any illusions that it is anything else. The sign says 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada' and it is in a gold diamond with a star above it. To look at it again is over the top to welcome to you to Vegas. I have to say though that because it does look so tacky its suits Vegas well. It is quite big and we couldn't actually touch the sign.

We saw the sign in the day and it looks amazing so I bet it would look even better at night as it is lit up and in films it looks a great sight so if you get chance to do that then do it.

Is it Worth Seeing
It is definitely worth seeing if you are in Vegas as it is the sign!!! I was so excited we were going to go to it as you always see it everywhere and it is what most people automatically think of when they think of Vegas. Plus it is one of the tourist spots in Vegas albeit a small one but it is free to visit people which most things in Vegas aren't.

When you get to the sign you will see it just a way down from the entrance gates. Then you have to walk over the grass to get to the sign which is only a 30 second walk so not that far as this tourist spot is not that big. Then you can look at the sign and get your photo taken by it.

To be honest that is all it is at this particular tourist spot. You go there and you stare at the sign for a couple of minutes and you have your photo taken in front of it and then you go to let the next group of people do the same.

Conclusion
I think the Vegas sign is amazing! It is short and sweet but in my opinion a definite must do. I loved every second we were there and would definitely go again but at night next time if I find myself in Vegas again. It was the shortest trip we took on our whole Honeymoon but it is the one photo that everybody gets to in our collection and says wow, I cant believe you went there.

The sign is simple to describe and tell you about which is why this is a relatively short review for me but the Vegas sign is perfect. It is a perfect representation of Vegas and a great welcome to this wonderful place and you have to go and see it!!!!
