Advantages: Fantastic Hours Spent Here

Disadvantages: Very Busy

I visited Madame Tussaud's whilst I was on a trip to London in Sept 2008. I found this very interesting and would go back again if and when I return to London.

I visited the waxworks on a Tuesday morning and this was even on a Tuesday very busy. There are various prices for entrance to here if you just turn up on the day they will charge you.. Adult £25.00 ...Child £21.00 online you can obtain these from Adult £22.50 Child £18.50.. There are various ticket options online and these change from time to time, I would recommend going online to purchase these tickets if you intend on visiting.

My friend and I spend approx 3 or 4 hours inside here going around all the wax figures in different sections..

Sporting section includes David Beckham.. Lewis Hamilton.. Andy Murray and many other sporting heros.

There is a Royalty section with the Royal Family wax works figures..

There is pop star section which include artists like.. Britney Spears.. Justine Timberlake.. Amy Winehouse.. Madonna.. Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley amongst many more including The Beatles, Gary Barlow and plenty more singing artists who have entertained us with their voices..

There is a World Leaders Section which include wix statues of JFK,Tony Blair, Nelson Mandela and the newst one to this section is of course Bracka Obama..

There is a Hollywood section which include stars like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jim Carey, Julia Roberts to name only some.

There is also a TV stars section with stars Ant and Dec.. Davina McCall, David Jason and Big Brother Diary Room..

There is a Fashion section with stars including Posh and Becks, Kate Moss and Jean Paul Gaultier.

The culture figures is a section I liked the most because you go on a ride through time sitting on a walser like trailer and go through the Culture Figures in the Wax Works Section.

There is a SCREAM section in the Wax Works, which my friend and I did not attempt to go into(due to us being too scared) so I am sorry I do not know what this is like, but the website has some information on it but from what I have read you have got to be brave to go into this..... Hear the death knell toll. Jump as you enter the cage and the door creaks and slams shut behind you, locking you in. Feel your heart pumping and your palms become sweaty. Will you make it out the other side of the cellblock without succumbing to a psycho killer? It looks so close. But who's that lurking in the shadows? They won't leap out at you, will they? They can't touch you, can they? In the chamber, anything can happen.

Whilst coming to the end of your tour through the wax works you approach a wax hand were your hand can be made into a wax statue for you to take home. This is at cost of course, again not sure how much this costs because I did not have a go.

There is a shop on the way out of the Madame Tussaund's were many keepsake/figures can be bought to take home and remind you of your visit to Madame Tussauds..

Programme's with figures and history can be bought at the front door for between £8 and £10. These are a good thing to keep.

I would recommend this to anyone

Summary: MUST VISIT PLACE IN LONDON

I got dragged into the Scream bit when I went - I was shaking for 2 hours afterwards, it was horrible! I hate people dressed up anyway, but this was in a completely different league! Even my mum (who is tough as nails) was pretty riled!
