Disadvantages: bit commercialised

Mann's is the most popular Hollywood attraction and one of the most famous cinemas in the world and is situated on Hollywood Blvd just steps away from the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. The theatre opened in 1927 with the premiere of Demille's King of Kings and as become world famous due to the imprints of stars anatomy on the forecourt infront. This Hollywood tradition was started when silent film star Norma Talmage stepped into wet concrete on the opening night and stars like Michael Jackson, Donald Duck and R2-D2 among others have followed suite. Mann's boasts one of the best sound systems and biggest screens in LA and decorated with a blend of Chinese imperial and Polynesian architecture.

The roof of the cinema is 90 feet high and is a jade green clolured bronze chinese style icon that is a hollywood landmark that attracts millions of visitors each year. Although situated on Hollywood blvd, which has gained a bad reputation over the years due to protitution and drugs, it is worth visiting at night now the street has been cleaned up to protect tourists because it is spectacularly lite at night and provideds an amazing site.

Although anyone can get their signature onto the forecourt with a little money it is still worth a visit to see some of the real stars of the past.

I was there some years back. Couldn't resist putting my hands and feet where various favourites had left their mark, - but not one bit of talent rubbed off!
