Mauerpark ... "offenes Fenster" in der umgebenden Stadt. Die grosse Rasenfläche auf dem Niveau des ehemaligen Bahnhofgeländes und der Hang hinauf zum Sportstadion haben sich zu einem beliebten Szenetreff entwickelt.
Die Allianz Umweltstiftung stellte 4,5 Millionen Mark zur Realisierung dieser - vorerst acht Hektar grossen - Parkanlage zur Verfügung.
