Advantages: Good atmosphere, good interactive show.

Disadvantages: Expensive from some places, sword extra, food poor.

I worked in Spain for a few summers - Pirates is one of the best entertainment shows in the Magalluf area. The basic premis is that there are about 800 people who are seated at long tables facing a stage at the front - you can buy swords/bandana's etc there (which is an additional cost but well worth it to get in the mood!) with the Pirates logo and you get a free eye-mask. It cost about 30 pounds but this is good value for money. The show last about two hours and is set ont he theme of pirates seperating the hall into "rival sides" and battle and banter and audience participation on the stage to see "which pirate wins" overall - the stage shows depend on whether you book an adult or child-friendly show. The adult show has tasks such as "quickest you can find a bra" and silly things like that, the childrens show is more about "who can find another pirate to sing on stage with". The adult show also recieves a LOT more free sangria; and therefore the people there are more drunk so pick the one based on what you want from the night! Only word of warning is that the food is served in plastic trays, is tiny and is not nice - eat before you go.

Summary: Great fun... definately worth experiencing!
