Me and my mum went to New York last November. We were lucky enough to spend Thanksgiving there and see many of the xmas decs and lights. Our flight home wasn't until 10pm and as we had to check out at 12, we had a few hours to kill. We had walked past this place many times and had seen 'The Radio City Hall Christmas Spectacular' being advertised. We thought we would try our luck to see if there were any last minute tickets available. I asked at our Hotel who checked online and told us there were tickets available for $65. Not a bad price but the seats were near the back so the consierge recommended us ask at the ticket office inside Radio City Hall. We checked out of our hotel and headed there not expecting to get any tickets but the lady behind the desk told us there were 2 tickets in row dd for $35 each! In London, row dd is usually towards the back of the stalls so we couldn't believe our luck when they were 4th row from the front! The foyer was amazingly grand with huge chandaliers and xmas trees. You could buy beverages, sweets and popcorn and programs, all of which are a bit pricey but they'll keep the kids quiet! We went to our seats and waited for the curtains to go up. The audience went wild when it did-Santa was on stage shortly after joined by the world famous Rocketts. They were brilliant. I don't think any of them put a foot out of time. It was like stepping back in time! The choreography was great, as were the costumes and although the vast majority of the audience were just out of nappies, I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it! It was cheesy, as were the rocketts permanent 'smiles' the music (with a live orchestra), the singing, the storyline...Everything, but still very entertaining and worth every cent, and would have been even if we had paid the full $65. It was a great way to end our holiday and would recommed anyone who loves xmas as much as I do to check this out. If you aren't going to be there at that time, go and see something else. Or just go and have a look inside!
