Newest Review: ... to the jetty, and then clamber into the boat down some steep steps. I am sure there are companies in Amsterdam which will cater for disabled visitors, perhaps one of the other Reederij P. Kooij jetties is accessible, but the Rokin one did not appear to be. The boats are long, low things, ideal for fitting under all the low bridges on the canals. They have windows on the sides and right over the roof, so you can have a full view around you. The back half of the roof can slide forward so that you are in the open air on a nice day, as we were - we sat at the very back of the boat. There were many things we wanted to see and do during our recent trip to Amsterdam, and going on a canal boat cruise was one of them. Amsterdam is a city of canals - the city centre is ringed by them, and you can't go far without coming across a canal. They are very peaceful, ideal for an evening stroll. We looked at a few different cruise operators, but weren't too bothered which we chose. In the end we picked one which we passed on the way somewhere else, deciding we would come back to it later that day. The company was Reederij P. Kooij, and we embarked at their jetty on Rokin, at a cost of EUR 9 each for a one hour tour of the canals and harbour. I didn't ...  Read the complete review
