Even the most hardened Vegas-addict needs the occasional break from the fast flow of neon, dollars and anything else that you want. Vegas offers everything man has created and that comes in abundance. What is somewhat less available, but my soul begins to crave after around 72 hours is a little immersion in nature. Freemont Street experience - Awesome downtown light show. 3. Binions Horseshoe Poker room - Home of the World Series of Poker. 4. Bellagio Fountains - 30 storey high fountains dance to music. 5. Okays...here's what not to miss. We spent two weeks there via an Airtours package deal in December. Weather was very good. Warm with blue skies and it wasn't crowded. 1) The Grand Canyon. You cannot go to Las Vegas and not take an excursion to the Grand Canyon. Only 1-4 hours away depending on method of transport and a truly memorable experience! 2) Hotels: MGM, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, New York - New York, Ceasars Palace, Venetian, Luxor, Paris...all highly recommended! Suspend reality and you'll get the best out of Las Vegas. Treat the place seriously and you'll have a terrible time. Get into the swing of it and Vegas is Blackpool on acid! Planing a trip is easy. You can either go down the package route or plan it yourself. Virgin Holidays are especially good for package deals. However, planning it yourself can give considerable savings and part of the enjoyment of the holiday can be the planning.
