I have visited Paris twice in the last 5 years, each time I have visited it with the Disneyland Paris tours. The tours allowed me to visit a range of attractions including the following:
The Eiffel Tower
This is a really busy tourist attraction that can take an hour or more to queue up for and get onto, outside it there are some great photo opertunities and the view from the top is amazing, though it is really high and made me feel really dizzy to look off, the second floor was also very high and I was most confortable on the first, you can climb stairs to the first and second floors or have the option of taking lifts, (that are not free) and to get to the third floor you must take a lift as it would be a very large climb otherwise. There are three floors, all holding shops and cafes, that are not cheap and can be very crowded, though it is an experiance to eat lunch on the Eiffel Tower. This was one of my favourite places to visit in Paris because it is so famous and I had heard so much about it. There are, like in any city many pick pockets to beware of on this attraction, so keep your valuables close to you are secure. Overall I thought this was a great place to visit in france.
The Notre Dame Cathedrale
This is another attraction that I really wanted to visit when I visited Paris, simply because it is so famous. It is a really beautiful building inside and outside, inside is so quiet and respectful compared to outside where the tourist roam, even though tourist can visit the inside to this gothic cathedrale. You could not take pictures inside the cathedrale but outside you may take as many as you like, and this building is so big and beautiful that you will want a picture of it to take home, the attention paid to detail on the walls and the stain glass windows are really nice.
L'Arc Du Triomphe
This is another very photogenic attraction in Paris, you can drive through this monument and also climb it to show another great view of Paris, though not as good as the Eiffel Towers view. This monument to the french solidiers that fought in the war against germanic warriers. You can either climb countless steps or take a lift up and walk up afew steps. This is a great place to visit and catch a view of the city or just learn about a bit of french history.
River Seine
I took a boat trip down the River Seine in Paris and it was a really great and heart breaking experiance, it was great because I seen some really beautiful landmarks and buildings as I travelled through the water, though it was really hearbreaking and sad as you could also see many homeless people who lived in boxes under the bridges along this river, and I think that something should be done about it as no one should live without a sense of security and the bare essentials that we take for granted today. The boat ride was reasonably priced and lasted around an hour or less, it takes you from the Eiffel tower to the Notre Dame Catherdrale (or there abouts). I wasnt as impressed with this attraction as the rest as it was so sad to see so many people living on the streets but I am wise enough to expect that in a city even if it is a tragedy. There were some great sites and attractions in Paris to view also from this river and it was an experiance in itself to visit.
Hope this review helps if you are looking to know more about visiting Paris attractions, it really is a wonderful city in my opinion.
