As far as i'm concerned there are 2 things which every tourist visiting Toronto should see - and apologies if these are predictable!
Firstly the CN tower - you have to go up this - it offers one of the highest viewing platforms in the world and you really get a sense of how big and spread out Toronto is from up there. The views out over the lake are stunning as well!
A must do once you're up at the top is to walk on the glass section of floor and peer down at the ground 100s of feet below you! You may feel nervous about stepping out onto the glass at first but the views are worth it and it is completely safe. It can withstand a herd of rhinos standing on it - although how they would all get up there in the lift is another matter!
The second must see thing (which revolves around the first) is the view of the Toronto skyline from the lake - there are plenty of boats offering trips around the islands and the views back to the city are simply stunning!
If you only have a limited time in Toronto (as I did) then these are probably the best ways to get an overview of the city!
