The Skyrail connects the Northern Queensland city Cairns with a small nearby town called Kuranda. I was EXTREMELY nervous about taking the several kilometre trip in a little pod dangling high up in the air. I was well prepared to freak out and not really enjoy it. But, it is fantastic. As you begin the ascent panoramic views of Cairns and the beaches and ocean open up before you. Then once you get up over the first hill/mountain all you can see is rainforest.
