How I visited the Statue (Statue of Liberty)

Advantages: No need to pay, less crowd

Disadvantages: You cannot touch the Statue

Fancy paying nothing to view the Statue from close distance? And no need to queue for hours to board the ship to the island.
Here's what you need to do. Get to the jetty, take the ferry to the Staten Island, you might not have to pay anything for doing so. And there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the view of the Statue as the ferry commutes between Manhattan and Staten Island. You will be able to get a close view of the Statue but you wont be actually on the island.

The best thing is if you have a high power zoom camera, and you will be able to get good picture of the Statue, just like what I did when I was there.

Once reaching Staten Island, simply get the returning ferry back to Manhattan, the entire journey will take you less than an hour.
