It has its' own stop on the efficient and clean 'Metro' subway system. You can walk there from the Capitol area, but it is quite a hike, likely to take over an hour, so its' only advisable on a pleasant day in comfortable shoes. There is so ... more

My visit to the Pentagon was nothing like yours might be. Right now all tours of the building have been cancelled. However, I'm still going to tell you what it was like, as I hope that tours will be resumed. Tours of the Pentagon began as a one year only celebration of the bi-centennial back in 1976. They proved hugely popular and continued for 25 years, right up to September 11, 2001. The Pentagon is an impressive building, and when I visited it gave the impression of huge military strength, combined with enormous patriotism.
