Advantages: amazing views, cheap entry, unique experience

Disadvantages: get busy before sun set

Whilst in Tokyo i was determined to go up the tower and see the view over the giant city! This was an amazing view and a must do for all whilst in Tokyo!

I went up about an hour before the sun set, so i could see the view over the city in day light and after dark. This is an extremeley busy time and i queued for a while to enter the tower. I was surprised that the majority of people visiting were japanese which shows its no just a cheap tourist attraction!

You go up the town in an elevator, beware they pack you in tightly! Once at the top the tower offers amazing views of the city, on a clear day you can see as far as mt Fuji! luckily i went on a clear day asn it was a trueley amazing sight to look over the jam packed city then the snow-capped mountain in the background!

As i said it was very busy and there is a but of nudging to get to the front to see the views. There are two levels, a lower andd higher, the higher level is the best view for seeing the entire city and views on mt Fuji.

As you walk around there is some strange pink cone-head people pictures, not sure what they are about, another quirk to visiting Japan!

With in the tower there is some places to shop and eat which are reasonably priced.

The tower is open 9am - 10pm
When i went it was 820yen/£6

Summary: a must do whilst in japan for all the family!!
