I think the Top Of The Rock is amazing. The Rockefeller centre in New York is situated at the Rockefeller Plaza. It is an amazing little area that takes you away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and it is where the famous christmas tree is situated over the holiday period and where the famous elections are held at other times.
The ride up the observatory deck allows you to learn about the Rockefeller the businessman and the building itself. The views from the 70 story building are amazing. It totally takes your breath away.
I went up here in February and it was bitterly cold but the view is so wonderful that i didnt care.
I enjoyed the Rockefeller more than the Empire state building as it was less crowded and i didnt feel rushed.
The views over Manhattan are of course the same as if you were at the empire state but it is more serene and in a better area.
It is also cheaper than the Empire state builidng and is located near radio city.

Summary: Excellent views and location make this the perfect place to watch the world go by!
