Advantages: Great view and building, Historical insight was intersting

Disadvantages: Expensive, but then the rent is around 4million a year

I have just got back from New York. Everything there is massive. Top of the rock is a great experience. It is 67 stories high and was built during the last reccession by Rockafella. According to tour guides he built the bulding with no one rady to occupy it. and so he could attract attention to the building he would hire people at first just to turn the lights on and off.

The rockafella building is located on 6th Avenue and 50th Street on Manhattan Island. Out side in the winter the eating area changes into an ice rink. The tickets were around $20 But my friend got a discount online at expedia.com. The que wansn't long. And you get to see lots of history about the bulding, downstairs. Im guessing this is for when it is busier.

The lift experience is fun. You think your in a regular lift with a lit roof and then when you start top move up the floors the roof becomes clear and you can look up and see how far you are travelling. Not for the faint hearted, one girl did freak out a bit.

When you get to the top the view is amazing. It really puts new york into perspective. The city is huge. I thought central park was soooooo much smaller, I had a quick count and it was the length of around 70 buildings! skyscapers included. Tou can pay 50 cents and have a look through the telescopes they have there.

The building is in the style of art deco and is decortaing in gold and cystals. Theres also a room with lights that follow you. I think it was well worth the money. And should be put your to do list in NY.
